Submit your questions for Commissioner’s next public scrutiny session with the Chief Constable

Police and Crime Commissioner, Donna Jones, will be putting your questions to the Chief Constable, live on Facebook on 07 April 2022 from 6pm until 7pm at her next, ‘COPS’ (Commissioner’s Oversight of Policing Services) public scrutiny session. 

To get your question answered you can either ask it via the live chat on the night or if you can’t tune in on the night you can submit it in advance by sending it through to the Commissioner’s office before 12 noon on Wednesday 30 March 2022. Questions can be on any areas of concern around crime and policing.

Commissioner Jones said, “I am determined to make policing more accessible to local residents and COPS provides an important opportunity for you to have your voice heard on local policing issues.

“Previous COPS sessions have given hundreds of local residents the opportunity to put their concerns to the Chief Constable and thousands more the chance to watch live.

“Topics covered so far have been varied and have included the safety of women out and about at night, anti-social behaviour and criminal damage in specific communities, roads policing, the performance of 101 and police recruitment and vetting. I am pleased that as well as questions and some concerns, there has also been considerable praise and thanks for the work of local police officers and of Hampshire Constabulary as a whole.”

The Facebook live can be watched via the Commissioner’s Facebook page and Hampshire Constabulary’s. For those who cannot watch on the night the session will also be recorded and shared through the Commissioner’s website after the event.
