Council Tax Leaflet 2024-2025
75 More Police Officers
As your Police and Crime Commissioner I am committed to ensuring your police precept is spent wisely and delivers best value for money.
This year, your contribution to policing through your council tax will allow Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary to recruit an additional 75 police officers.
Last year, you paid for an extra 50 police officers which allowed the Chief Constable to create Neighbourhood Enforcement Teams (NETS). These teams have already started taking the fight to criminals in your neighbourhood and are in addition to the 600 extra officers recruited between 2020 and 2023.
Over the next 18 months, 10 more police stations and front counters will be open to the public to make it easier for you to report crimes or information to Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary. This is me delivering on my promise to you.

75 More Police Officers
This year the 3.98% increase in your police precept will provide an additional £8million for Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary. This will go towards recruiting an additional 75 police officers.
As Commissioner and with your support, I will bring the total increase of police officers for Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary since 2020 to 725.
The launch of my Local Bobby scheme means every community now has a named local police officer they can contact directly. Their name, phone number and email address can be found on the force website: hampshirealert.co.uk/Content/AllLocalAreas
