What do we plan to do about Serious Violence?
- Help to prevent people getting involved in gangs, drugs and serious violence
- Help keep young people safe through engaging education
- Enabling young people to easily reach support networks
What are we doing about Serious Violence?
- Working with the Violence Reduction Units
- Developed a project for young people to raise awareness of the consequences of knife crime and promote positive activities for young people
- Promoting organisations that can help (see below the videos)
The Basingstoke Peace Project
We identified violence as one of the topics we wanted to tackle this year and were concerned about the number of knife related issues. We decided to start an awareness project with young people to raise awareness of the consequences of knife crime and promote positive activities for young people.

- NoKnives – An all rounder of a website that has information, events, facts, blogs, stories and even more about knife crimes.
