Joining the Youth Commission is a great way to:

• have your voice heard by influential people on the topics that matter to you
• make a difference
• find out what your peers think about important issues
• work with schools, colleges and youth groups
• attend events
• help to create and deliver campaigns that really make a difference to people just like you
• make new friends

You need to be between 14-24 and live, be educated or work in Hampshire, Isle of Wight, Portsmouth or Southampton.

A key role of being a Youth Commission member is engaging with other young people, making sure that their voices are heard on a range of issues.

Representing young people

We sit on a range of boards and meetings to ensure that young people’s voices are at the table and we directly share information from the Big Conversation with decision makers and practitioners so they are aware of what local young people are experiencing and their solutions to the issues they are facing.
