Your questions answered in live event with Police Commissioner and Chief Constable
05 December 2024
The Police and Crime Commissioner for Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, Donna Jones, will be holding the Chief Constable Scott Chilton to account in a live Q&A session next week.
COPS (Commissioner’s Oversight of Policing Services) will be streamed across three Facebook pages – the PCC’s, the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner, and Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary – on Thursday 12 December 2024 at 6pm.
Members of the public can pre-submit their questions ahead of the event or ask questions during the live session.
PCC Donna Jones said: “My role as Police Commissioner is to hold the Chief Constable to account to deliver the police force you expect.
“COPS is your chance to ask us both questions on the police and crime issues that matter most to you. You can pre-submit your questions to us, or ask us live on the night.”
The event will focus on the Commissioner’s Police and Crime Plan priorities which were devised after over 10,000 residents responded to her consultation in the summer. Police visibility, business and retail crime, road safety, rural crime, serious violence, and anti-social behaviour are all on the agenda.
A recording of the COPS session will be made available to view for anyone who can’t watch the event live. The Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner will endeavour to respond to all the questions submitted.
